Hindu weddings are very intense, carefully planned: they are culture-rich events full of celebration and tradition. The very essence of a Hindu wedding ceremony is the physical, spiritual and emotional union of two people; it’s also about the coming together of two families through prayer and celebration.

A Hindu wedding (typical Indian wedding) merges the couple’s expectations with their family traditions. With many rituals and mini ceremonies leading to the main ceremony day, it binds the couple and both families for eternity.

For Hindu society, marriage is an initiation for women. There are eight types of ceremonies, most followed by Brahamana. If the bride and groom are not known and present in a separate pavilion, the father treats the young groom.

The promise to deliver his daughter to his father and his future wife to treat her with dignity and accomplish three life objectives: health, devotion and happiness.
The ceremony takes place around the fire where they make their offerings, the groom leads a bride around the fire to tie her clothes with her, then at the end of a ceremony go to the top of the mill to take seven steps of seven piles of rice to be sprinkled with holy water.

Love is composed of a single soul
inhabiting two bodies.
